With mass layoffs and heightened unemployment, why not make a podcast in two parts, right? If you're looking to hear my exotic accent, sorry, you'll have to call me. By the way, someone new mistook me the other day for a northern Englander, which is kindof the same as being a Texan from what I understand. Instead of my voice, I edited in people from youtube and some documentaries talking about their feelings on being unemployed/employed. Wink.

Lest there be any confusion, this is a nautical themed show, not in any way associated with Nautica, the smelly cologne I wore instead of showering after soccer in middle school. Why nautical themed? I liked the squid song and found the folkways maritime music album and thought, why not? I saw someone get in a fight in a bar on Thanksgiving. If he wasn't a sailer, he should have been. I am thankful for his inspiration.
Songs Nautical(a)
Wax Museum Ensemble - squid
Mouse Rocket - underwater piano
Woody Guthrie - talking sailor
Folkways - liverpool judies (instrumental)
Hail Seizures - the well

We're out of room on podomatic. The sad thing is I have server space, but could never figure out how to write the xml to syndicate the podcast. Well, we'll do shows sporadically, maybe delete the old ones to make room for the new. I think it had a good run, but I need a hobby that's not in front of the computer. Maybe a real radio show again?

This week, I tried to put together songs with the name Jesse in them in tribute to my roommate. Love them or hate them, most people have strong feelings about Jesse's. He helped me not to have to sleep in the streets twice already in this lifetime, so I fall on the side of love him.

I finished up twenty-eight free trips around the sun this week. In memoriam, I put together some sets about getting older and youth, or bands with the word youth in their name. When I was 15, I was in a car wreck with some friends, where the car flipped three times and when we landed, the Pink Floyd song 'Time' came on the radio, and we couldn't turn it off. When I turn 30, I am pretty sure the universe will begin to collapse and everything will revert back to that point, so enjoy this year. Tim put together some good 'on the
street, circusy, freakish crusty style' songs sure to lift you out of your life-long depression and anxiety disorders.
